The purpose of this Checklist is to provide the
Resident a method of recording core clinical
experiences with common patient conditions requiring
ICU care. Core clinical experiences are those
experiences with conditions which are both common in
practice and significantly impact morbidity and
mortality of patients.
The Checklist is to only a personal guide to core
clinical experiences, and is not required
documentation by our program.
As you have an experience with a particular core
diagnosis or perform a particular core procedure,
note it on these tables. If you find that, into your
rotation, you have yet to encounter a core clinical
experience, actively seek it out.
